WHAT IS FREEDOM VILLAGE
Freedom Village is North America’s Premier Home for Troubled Teens. The 150-acre campus is located just north of Watkins Glen in Western New York State. Freedom Village, founded in 1981 is an “intensive care ward” for America’s youth and is the largest home of its kind. find out more »
Canadian Information

Along with your intake application you will be required to have the following information with you on your intake day:

Provincial Health Card- required by Freedom Village
You will need to contact your Provincial Health office to register for an out of province stay for the purpose of school for your child.  You can call the Provincial Health INFOline at 1-866-532-3161. (Toll free in Ontario)

Passport required by US Immigration to enter the USA for school
Your child must have a valid and current Canadian passport that will not expire within 12 months of your intake date. If it will expire within 12 months you need to apply and attain a new passport prior to your intake interview date.

School VISA- US Immigration I-20 Form required by US Immigration
The I-20 form will be sent to you once you have been scheduled for an intake interview.
Once you receive the I-20 you will need to pay the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee of $100US. You will receive further instructions on how to make this payment.

Crossing the Border
You are required to declare to US Immigration when you are crossing the border that you need to process a school VISA. We legally can not accept your young person into our program without a processed and stamped I-20 student VISA.
